Huai Jinpeng was born in Harbin, Capital of Heilongjiang Province. After receiving the B.Tech degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences form Harbin Institute of Technology, he joined faculty of Beihang University. In 1993 he got the PhD degree under direction of Professor Li Wei, China’s famous expert of computer technology, academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences. Supported by nation’s first program for “brilliant youth”, Huai became visiting faculty of Columbia University from Sep. 1995 for one year. And In recent years, he has been in charge of a great many national key projects along with important international programs. Additionally, not only have most of his projects running smoothly, he also aimed certain academic research achievements. Until now Huai has been published more than 80 papers，which  are mainly on software based on the Internet, web service technology together with network security, and therefore honored with four departmental awards from Chinese government for technological progress.
