The Institute of Advanced Computing Technology
Founded in 1999, ACT is a center for research and education at the
graduate levels, which focuses on advanced computer technology
both in theories and applications. Up to September 2004, the
total number of the staff reaches 115. This team consists of 12
faculty (4 professors, 3 associate professors), 42 resident PhD
students (14 newly enrolled in 2004), 86 graduate students (33
newly enrolled in 2004). ACT now includes three departments:
Main Center, Embedded System Research Center and Patent Develop
Center. The Main Center is now with 9 professors, 35 PhD
students, and 57 graduate students.
